Sticking to Basics

 

Good nutrition is the foundation of human health. Bad, or incomplete nutrition, will lead to incomplete (bad) health. Good nutrition will build good, or better health. That is the science of if. What you put in, is what you get out.

Carnival food might be fun but you can’t live on it forever! 

But don’t panic. Good nutrition does not have to be difficult and you don’t need a science degree. If your eyes glaze over at the mere mention of Proteins, Fats and Carbohydrates you have come to the right place. My eyes glaze over to the sound of that too. BORING!

Life doesn’t have to be black and white though. Grey is a colour too. What that means is that, while there are “good” and “bad” food choices, it is actually okay to choose from both sometimes. By giving your body what it needs for good health first, an occasional treat is good for the soul and won’t affect your overall health (except of course if you choose foods that you know you are sensitive to).
